How To Beat Procrastination
According to the Webster Dictionary Procrastination is to put off intentionally and habitually, to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done
In life we face many obstacles that may cause us to become procrastinators. We set goals, and a lot of times we don’t achieve them because we wait and wait to do what it is that needs to be done. A famous quote by Thomas Jefferson “Never put off вЂ?til tomorrow what you can do today” should be the way of life, but it’s not always so.
Procrastinators are all type of people, Doctors, Lawyers, Mothers, Fathers, Students, Teachers etc….. Procrastinators come in many shapes, sizes, nationalities. We all know procrastinators, even if the procrastinator is ourselves.
What causes a person to procrastinate differs in each life. There is the one that stresses, due to work, family, and other situations. Then there is the one who procrastination because they feel they have time, so they put off and put off until time has run out.
Procrastination causes stress, loss of sleep, and it will cause you to lose energy. It affects your everyday life, your family, and often times people who are around you.
How do you beat procrastination :
1. Organize your time. There are only so many hours in a day, which means there is only so much that can be done within the hours. So you must learn to organize your time. Plan your day.
2. Don’t take more than you can handle: You should break down your task, if it seems like more that you handle, there are ways to get through without losing it. You can start with the major task and go to the minor tasks.
