Topic: Write 300 words about an interesting event in your life

Human life is the collection of some important events.  Some events are forgotten but some other events are so important and heart touching that cannot be forgotten and remain fresh in the mind. My first time riding a bike is one of those events which will remain ever fresh in my heart.

On my eighth birthday, my father gave me a pretty small pink bike as a present and told my elder brother help me learn how to ride it. At first, I didn't like riding it. I still preferred being taken to school by my father. However, this bike is such a lovely bike that I couldn't help myself riding it in front of my friends’ admired eyes. Therefore, my father and I went to the beautiful park nearby our house. He taught me the basic skills, reminded some notices and rode a circle. After that, he helped me sit in the saddle and held the back of my bike. I started to ride slowly and soon feel extremely excited. Suddenly, I saw a bunch of colorful balloons on the sky. I pointed on it and shouted loudly: “Wow, Look! Balloons!”. I looked towards the balloons, clapped my hands and shouted happily: “Yeah! What a beautiful bunch of balloons!”   At that moment, I forgot a thing; my hands should have kept the handlebar. Unfortunately, my bike was out of control and hit a kid. I fell over my bike and landed on the ground. My legs and elbows were bleeding, I remembered the kid cried heavily, my dad ran over and apologized the kid mom’s. My dad carried me on his back and took me home. I cried like a baby all the way home. That night, I lay on my bed, holding my cute little doll and covered myself with my nice soft pinkish blanket. My father came and sat on the side of my bed. He asked me to make sure that I was still alright. "Daddy, I don't want to ride anymore. I don't want to be hurt." I begged. "Oh, my lovely bunny" he said "I'll be always willing to drive you everywhere you want for the rest of my life but I can't. You know, one day, when I am too old to look after you, I really want to see you can care about yourself." He held me close in his arms and stroked my hair. At that time, I thought I could see the wonderful love in his eyes. He continued talking with his warm voice. “My darling, I remember when you started learning to walk. You fell many times. I feel so sad to see that, but I'm proud of you because you always stand up immediately. In your life, you may fall again and again and sometime, I can't see that to come and help you. I really hope you can stand up by yourself without me. Can you do that? If you do, I will be very pleasant. I won't need to worry about you if one day I'm in the heaven." I kept silent for a while. Then I looked deep into his eyes and said "Dad, I know what you mean. I will be always your obedient and brave daughter. Tomorrow, I will try it again. And I will do that until I can ride a bike. Now, I will learn to take care of myself. When you and mom get old, I will care about both of you. I promise." He smiled at me, kissed my hair slightly and whispered: "I'm proud of you, my little princess".
