Some people think cars should be encouraged as the main means of transport, while others argue that bikes are better. Discuss both veiws and give your own opinions.

       Nowadays, there are a variety of transports. The problem is what kind of transport brings more benefits than others. Numerous people suggest to promote car as the most popular transport while others argue that it should be better if we spend more on expanding and developing bike use. This essay will discuss both views of this problem.

        Firstly, using bikes save a lot of money. Obviously, the number of people who have not their own car is extremely great because of the expensive cost of cars. Moreover, while bikes run on only human produced energy, cars consume a large amount of petrol to operate. So, some people do not have to spend lots of money on gas. Secondly, using more bike protects environment and people’s health as well. Bikes do not release anything in the atmosphere. It helps reduce air pollution by decreasing the number of cars in streets, which produce CO2. Dangerously, people do not have to breathe polluted air inevitably from cars which can harm people's health by leading some diseases which are related to lung or bronchus.

        On the other hand, car is the safe transport. Carmakers use a variety of materials and steel strengths in a car's frame to redistribute crash forces and protect passengers. Furthermore, the speed of bikes is slower than cars so it can waste the time. For example, the way from my home to school is about 6 km. If I ride a bike to school, it will take me 1 hour but I only spend nearly 20 minutes to go to school by car.

        In conclusion, each transport has both faces/sides. Personality, I strongly believe that bike should be encouraged as the main means of transports because its benefits overweigh the drawbacks by keeping the environment and people’s health.
