Intervention Procedure For Leblanc Residence
Intoxication :
If a resident is deemed intoxicated by a C.A s/he is asked to remove themselves from public areas (i/e Lounge, Kitchen Basement). The C.A will escort this individual to their room and ask them to remain there for the evening. It is important to obtain their information (i/e name, student #, room#) and verify it's accuracy on the duty bilan. If a resident does not comply with this request another C.A, or protection may be called to assist.
Underage drinking :
If an underage resident is in possession of alcohol, or is found drinking in residents the alcohol, if opened, must be poured down the drain BY THE RESIDENT, and if unopened must be confiscated and placed in Ray's office in Thompson. The resident must be reminded of the laws in regards to underage drinking, and informed that a meeting will take place with the coordinator.
Promotion of Alcohol in Residence :
The promotion of alcohol is prohibited in residence. Any flyers, posters, etc are to be taken immediately if they are in a public area. Any such flyers, posters, etc that are found on a resident's door should be removed by the resident by the end of that day. If the resident is not present the C.A on duty will inform the C.A of that floor so that they may ask the resident to remove the item promoting alcohol.
Glass in the common room :
Residents are to IMMEDIATELY transfer any liquid (alcholic or other) from a glass cup into a plastic container, or the liquid may be dumped by the resident. Absolutely no alcohol containers, whether they are bottles or cans may be permitted in the common rooms or hallways.
Drugs :
All interventions where drugs are known to be present warrant the assistance of Protection. C.As will intervene as normal if they suspect drugs, and only once proof is obtained may protection be called.
