We do business in a community and with the community where we operate and whom we work with, being our stakeholders which are; communities, its employees and it families, its suppliers, the share owners, and its customers which are all part of the Corporate Citizenship program revolves. Directly or indirectly our business existence affects how our stakeholders live and from them we are being judged about our responsibilities, our care about safety, health and environment, social , human rights and as well as government regulations.

This is in line with the article which was written by Milton Friedman in the New York Times Magazine, quote ; " The social Responsibility of Business Is to Increase Its Profits". While this is true, we should not ignore the tools that contribute to the indirect profit of the company. Customer, business partners, communities, suppliers and government official should feel proud working or partnering or being the customer of a company whose way of doing business does not influence badly to its society or environment. Social responsibility increase people belief in value which the company takes attention of. Existence of a company operating business in a local area will face obstacles by the community or local government if it does not bring profit to the local community and the local government. Stake holders belief on the company supports the on going operation of the company. No community would want to have pollution spread in their environment, neither a negative influence of a foreign social changes on existing culture that brought along could be accepted. However certain form of business operation are welcome under the local government regulation and law, if it brings profit and rural development and increased in income and workforce even though its business operation or its products could be one of the unwanted such as : cigarette, or electronic manufacturer with waste pollutant.
A company with an extensive operations in developing countries also needs to carefully manage its approach to human rights, and ethical business practices. Oil company on this case will have significant impact on local communities - both as a huge employer and through the nature of its on-the-ground operations. It should expect to seriously seek to reduce negative impacts and to invest seriously in those communities where they operates.
So, Corporate Social Responsibility is one part of a which a company should consider when they start to operate or not to forget when they are operating. Place of operation whether it is local or abroad, it has to underline the destination community conditions what major issues is in place and what could be implemented that will provide a value added to the existence of the company.
From the upper management to the lower level, the activities that contributes to the CSR has to be the DNA of the company (does not have to be a direct involvement on the field but the root of every business action).
