JFK Controversy
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the thirty-fifth President of the United States. The assassination of President Kennedy happened nearly forty-five years ago, and still to this day, there is controversy. The Warren Commission states that there was only one shooter and it had nothing to do with a conspiracy. On the other hand, there are many conspiracy theories that have to do with more than one shooter.
The Warren Commission states that there was only one shooter involved in the assassination of President Kennedy. "One of these witnesses, Abraham Zapruder, captured the entire assassination on his Bell and Howell eight millimeter mover camera. This movie, cleverly called the Zapruder Film, is the single best piece of evidence in this case (The JFK Assassination). Zapruder was standing on a four-and-a-half foot tall pedestal west of the School Book Depository. He didn't know at the time that he was going to catch on of the darkest moments in American history. As President Kennedy and Governor Connelly were shot, the film showed both of the men reacting at the same time. "Dale Meyer, who is a computer animator with 25 years experience, created an exact computer simulation of the Zapruder film" (The Kennedy Assassination). On his computer, Meyer created Dealey Plaza as it was on that "dark" November day. Meyer placed the Zapruder Film onto the computer and created a reenactment of that day. The computer animation shows that Kennedy was sitting behind Connelly in the open limousine. In the film of Zapruder, it looks as if when the first shot was made, Kennedy and Connelly were looking around to see where the shot came from. Then, seconds later, both men were shot and they reacted at the same time. Kennedy was struck in the back of the neck with the bullet exiting the front of the neck and Connelly was struck with the same bullet near the back of the arm pit and the bullet exiting about one inch below the nipple line. Meyer connected the two bullet holes of Kennedy and Connelly and he extended the line back to the School Book Depository. The line ended up back at the southeast corner window of the sixth floor. With this evidence, the legal conclusion was that Oswald acted alone. The killing of President Kennedy was not part of a conspiracy.
On the other hand, many witnesses claim that they heard shots come from the Grassy Knoll. Most witness say the heard one shot with a bit of silence and then the second and third shots bunched together. "The Scientist, DB Thomas, has examined the recording of radio channels
