Slide 2: Introduction – Jaise

Good Morning all, today we will talk about our business “Karaoke Café”
Our business is a combination of a café and a karaoke place. Our Karaoke Café is unique and will appeal to families with children. Our business is a different type of café and will introduce new ideas and fun to Brisbane. Our marketing plan will cover the products, the price, the promotion and place.

Slide 3: Business Profile- Zac
The business that our group has created is Karaoke Café. The story behind our business is that one night all three of us were out eating dinner together at a local cafe. While we were eating one of our favourite tunes were playing, in which we all began to sing along to and the whole room joined in as well.

Slide 5: Mission Statement- Tom
our mission statement for our business is to create a lively café where eating and singing come together as one - making it an enjoyable experience.

Slide 6: Logo - Jaise
In this simple but cool logo there is a plate, fork and knife. This simply represents the food. Beside it are two coloured microphones.  The reason that they are coloured in red and orange is because these two colours are exciting and represent action/movement.

Slide 7: Target Market - Zac
Our target market for our business is to reel in families who have kids from the age of as little as 7- 18. This will provide more fun for the children but also the parents. By targeting at these groups they could also spread the good word of our business through social media.

We will also run theme nights:-

  • Movie musicals (Grease, Rocky Horror, High School Musical etc.)
  • Decades night, 1960’s, 1970’s 1980’s etc
  • Specific Artist/Band night eg, The Beatles, Justin Beiber, INXS, One Direction etc.

By having these themed nights it will spread the word across all demographics which will enable our business to have access to varying types of customers ensuring the business moves forward.

Slide 8: Competition - Tom
there are many cafés in Brisbane that are earning good amount of money from the families within our area. This is because most café business have been around which would make it difficult for us to start our own business as we wouldn’t be that popular within the community.

Our business is completely different to your traditional café though. We run from the 9:30am-11:30pm and not only do we serve good food, we also provide entertainment by letting our customers choose any song of their choice to sing.
Slide 9: SWOT analysis - Jaise
our strengths for our business is that it will be an enjoyable place for families, our pricing is competitive and will capture the interest of audiences. A few weaknesses include that not all people might be used to it, people will be resistant to public displays and the cost. The opportunities for our business is that people are attracted to unique businesses such as ours and our location in Tarragindi will attract regular families which will also provide a steady income.  Some threats against “Karaoke café” is that there will still be competitors such as other cafes, restaurants and possibly other karaoke places.
