Dear Mitch,
How are you? I really hope everything is well over there, because things are getting hectic down here. The funeral was yesterday, which went pretty well. Except for the part where Catherine gave everyone at the funeral hall a piece of her mind, about how people only cared about dad when he was a genius and how she had to take care of him when he went insane, and except the part where I decided it would be a fun thing to party with theoretical physicists. Long story short, I woke up with the biggest hang over this morning. All that aside, I have to stay here for an extra week. Apparently, Catherine wrote this proof that proves something and they are making a big deal about it. By "they" I mean this guy named Hal, who used to be dad's student. He says that Catherine couldn't have written that proof because she doesn't have the education to write such a brilliant thing and I really don't buy her story either. So it is going to take him a week to figure out if Catherine did write it or not. Confusing? Yes I know. However, that is the least of my worries. Selling the house and getting Catherine to come back to New York with me is what I am really concerned about. When I told Catherine about selling the house she did not take it well at all, I don't know why she thought we wouldn't sell it. That was not even the worst part; I really hit the spot when I told her that New York has the best doctors. It's not like I think she is crazy or something, I'm just trying to play it safe. Anyways, I really hope the University is still willing to buy the house; they have wanted it back for years. If everything works out I should be done the paper works for the house in a couple of days and hopefully Hal figures something out about the proof fast. Then I will be on the next flight back to you.
