Dear Sir/Madam
Seeing that I had nothing to lose if I was denied an interview and a lot to gain if I am granted one. I am writing this application letter in a different manner than the usual.
My name is joemar James, I am 16 years of age. I graduated from the Adelphi Secondary School in the year of 2016, and since then, have been unsuccessful at finding a job for the summer, but let’s assure that I am not here to fill your ears with my various hardships and burden you with guilt in an attempt to sway you. I am writing this letter to give you an idea about just who is joemar james, and why I think you should hire him at Mavcon.
Joemar James is considered by his peers as an extremely intelligent, driven and ambitious individual, whose creativity tantalizes the mind, and places the very thought and concept of success graspable within the foreseeable future, but his most fascinating and distinct quality is the fact that he couldn't find a job. Very ironic for such an ‘outstanding’ individual, right? I also agree, and therefore for the past summer days, him and I struggled endlessly to find a reason as to why he was still unemployed and only recently we found the answer. I came to the realization that whether not anyone possesses an insurmountable amount of knowledge and the right qualifications, having just them alone does not guarantee you a job. You might be wondering where I am going with this, but I am confident that you more than likely receiving boring, repetitive application letters on a daily basis (such as the extra one I’ve also attached),and assume you would not mind laughing to yourself, confused while enjoying an entertaining read.
It’s not just about having eleven (11) subjects or graduating at the top of your class, what truly secures you that desired position is the way you stand out from among other individuals that are vying for the same position as you. In case, the desire position is a job and this cover letter you are reading is my way of standing out. Anyone can write “I can fly a plane “on a piece of paper, but that does not make the statement true. The only way to prove that you are capable of doing what you say you can, is to actually do it. My intent for this letter was to gain your attention and give you insight to the nature of my character, while demonstrating two of my skills (writing and clever thinking) and I pray I succeeded in doing so.
