Housing:

Leopard Geckos are easily maintained. An 10 gallon aquarium will adequately house a single gecko. A 30 gallon tank will house 1 male with 2 or 3 females. Never put two males together as they will fight. They need 3 hiding spots which should be one on the warm side, one on the cool side, and a humid (any container with a hole filled with damp moss) hide to help with shedding.

Temperature and Lighting:

Daytime temperature should range between 85 to 90. As with any herp, the gecko needs a warm spot and cooler spot from which to choose. Night temperatures can go into the low 70's.

Since Leopard Geckos are nocturnal you don't need to worry about UV lighting but it never hurts to use some.

Heat:

For heating you can use a Ceramic Heat Emitter which gives off no light at all just pure heat, Undertank Heaters a.k.a UTH work great and you can position the hide directly on top of the UTH and that seems to work really good.

Water and Humidity:

Leopard Geckos rarely drink because they get most of their water from the food they eat but it is always good to keep a small shallow dish filled with water in the tank. Humidity should be very low anywhere from 0-20% is good, although if it is too high than your leo can possibly get a respiratory infection and that isn't good at all.

Substrate:

The substrate should be unprinted paper or papertowel. The risk of impaction is almost impossible on those selections of substrate. If you're into more natural looking than you can use play sand for ADULTS ONLY, and make sure that you feed your leo outside the tank.

Feeding:

Leopard Geckos are carnivorus and eat a mix
