Company Introduction
This memo talks about my interest in applying for a job in Bristol-Myers Squibb. Bristol-Myers Squibb is an American pharmaceutical company, headquartered in New York City.
Bristol-Myers Squibb manufactures prescription pharmaceuticals in several therapeutic areas, including cancer, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis and psychiatric disorders. Its mission is to "discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases." This company has a strong legacy of innovation. Bristol-Myers Squibb is one a great place to work for scientists and an acknowledged industry leader in environment, health and safety.
Position Introduction
The position that I am looking for is Global Logistics Services. Global Logistics Services (GLS) is a function of the Global Manufacturing & Supply group that serves Bristol-Myers Squibb’s global business units by enhancing the customer experience through delivery of the right product at the right time in the most efficient and effective way. Strategic solutions aimed at optimizing our end to end Supply Chain and which align to where our stakeholders and customers are evolving, are critical in ensuring the highest levels of service in what is a rapidly changing environment. During my first year of the job, I will be responsible for developing and executing Global Logistical strategies for Bristol-Myers Squibb. And my work also cover to generate monthly performance reports; analyzing shipment cycle time and supplier performance.

I am competent to this work because of my expertise in supply chain and logistic management. I will graduate with a bachelor degree of Supply Chain & Information Systems in the Pennsylvania State University in 2016. I have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills. In the past years in college, I have learned specialized expertise and the leadership throughout the participation of extracurricular activities. I have accumulated a sufficient amount of supply chain management experience while I was working as a logistic manager in China Import Company. I managed a logistic team of six to receive and allocate products imported from Japan to 90 retailers in China. I also organized data in Excel to prepare fore future orders and project sales. I have the ability to collect, analyze, and integrate information by leveraging appropriate PC/systems technology including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Bilingualism is another competitive advantage that grantee me to be component for this job. I have studied in an international school since I was in the elementary school and studied abroad for the college degree. I am able to read, write and speak fluently in English and Chinese.
