Othello's ship was still in the storm and they haven't heard anything of his arrival. Later on, the arrival of a sail was seen with Iago, Desdemona, Roderigo, and Emilia on board. Iago again in this seen starts off the scene with unnecessary words. He criticized woman by saying "You rise to play and go to bed to work," meaning they are lazy except when having sex in bed. This was brought up because Cassio and Desdemona were messing around with Emilia saying that she talks too much. Iago also uses a scene when Cassio asked Desdemona to go with him to speak of Othello's arrival privately, Iago uses their hand holding as a sign to get Cassio in trouble and make Othello jealous. When Othello arrives, he is greeted by Desdemona and later more trouble occurs thanks to Iago. He tries to get Othello jealous by using Cassio taking Desdemona's hand, and also he suspects that Othello slept with Emilia. In this scene, Iago points out that he wants Desdemona to some extent of revenge for him suspecting of his wife's affair with Othello. As the scene goes on, Cassio is drinking and threatens to beat Roderigo. Montano tries to stop their quarrel and later is stabbed by Cassio. Othello arrived and was told the story from Iago, because Montano was too incapacitated to tell Othello what happened. Iago defends Cassio and his actions so he doesn't look bad. Othello listens to Iago and later dismisses Cassio from his service. Iago also sets up a situation to get Cassio to spend time with Desdemona again to help make Othello jealous again. It seems that Iago does the most evil things when he seems to do good things.
