My personal goal is to complete this course and continue all the other courses one at a time. I'm not setting very high standards for my self because I know that they are not achievable, however, I want to commit that I will try my best.
What I want to achieve is to improve my writing skills, and prepare me for a career for the future. I want to pursue my education to be able to support my family. Also, I want to be able to speak in front of a group of people.
Writing for me has always been very difficult, as an ESL (English as Second Language) student it's very hard to think and write down in English my thoughts in a manner that it will flow very smoothly. After being away from school for so many years and then, all of a sudden I'm a student again and I see that the way I learned in high school a long time ago is not the same anymore. Perhaps I never did learn the correct way or right format on how to write a paper and how to put it together. Now as an adult I still have difficulty writing. Now that I've made the commitment that I want to finish my degree, that I have long dreamed of having one day and that I started to accomplish along time ago, I find it very stressful, frustrating and overwhelming.
As a student here at the University of Phoenix I want to utilize all the recourses, tools, and skills that are available to me to improve my writing skills, and overall to do well in each of my courses. I want to be able to interact better with people, be able to talk in front of people, and speak in front of a group.
