Personal Perspective
Introduction
In this paper I will cover how I decide to obtain my MBA degree. I will also cover what I expect to gain by completing my MBA degree. School has always been interesting to me and education has always been of the upmost importance to me. It has been something that has been put off for a long time so continue reading to find out what made me decide that an MBA degree was what I needed.
Decision
In 2004, I was terminated from the position I had held for 7 years. When terminated due to having to leave to pick up my sick twin babies or for my other 3 children life seemed to really suck for me. I didn't know what I was going to do to be able to support my children. After looking into things I could do at home to make money I decide to go to school online. I have always wanted to get my accounting degree but after getting married and having children there just seemed to be no time for school. Well I thought about going to the local college but then I would have to pay daycare and without a job that just would not be possible. So I started looking into going to school online. I first chose to go to school at AIU. That is where I finished my Associates degree and my Bachelors degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting and finance. I started at AIU on my MBA degree but after suffering a break up with my current husband and the devastating lose of my father things didn't work out. I then decided to look at a college that I could afford and I found the University of Phoenix. In looking at the requirements to set for the CPA exam it seemed that I was going to need to get more credit hours in accounting which meant that I would have to go for my MBA degree to reach my long-term goal of becoming a CPA.
