There are many ways that men and women in our society get the standards for the way they should look. One source is television. People watch celebrities and athletes to find out what to wear. Another great source is magazines. Men and women read many magazines and look at athletes and celebrities to get ideas on the way they should look. A third source for men and women are there peers, which are the people around their age who have similar interests. Men and women talk to their friends and look at other people to decide what they want to look like.

Television is a major source for men and women in the world today. It pretty much dictates what they dress and act like. People always want to be like their idols, which are usually celebrities or athletes. They want to dress and act just like they do.

The television is a great source for that because people get to watch all there favorite stars. Men and women also see lots of commercials for new clothing styles, hair-doos and cosmetics. The television is an unlimited source of information for both men and women to find ideas on how they want to look.

Magazines are also a major source for men and women in the world today. People can buy magazines on almost any topic they want. Magazines contain information about all different types of celebrities like musicians, actors, athletes, and comedians. People read these magazines and see all different types of adds for stuff. They read articles about their idols and see the way that they look and dress. Some magazines are even made to tell you how to dress. Some magazines tell you what the popular trends are and what you should and should not wear.

A third major and also very important source of styles and trends are men and women’s peers. Their friends, schoolmates, and coworkers all help play a part in the way they look. Some men and women
