English Persuasion Essay

School uniforms. The question is, should we wear school uniforms or should we not wear school uniforms? There has been a lot of discussion about this subject over the last few years. It seems to come up every school year. A school uniform may be okay if you start out your early school years that way. Such as elementary and you continue that process to the end of high school. It seems that it would be awfully to do if you make that kind of change in junior high or high school. The reasons why it would be hard in my mind are many.

Even if we learn to change if it is not something we really want to do we convert back to what we are comfortable with; no uniforms in this case. There are always rules to be broken. Young people our age like to break the rule we are going to test the powers to see if they are watching and just what they will let us get away with. In regards to adjustments that might be made to the uniforms.

Be it a good way or bad way, rather it be something we do everyday at school or when we are around our peers out of school. Regular street clothes is a way for us to express ourselves and who we are. We look for peers that dress like us, talk like and act like each other. Most people are visual and its easier to figure out what group we fit into or belong with. It creates somewhat of a comfort zone for us to walk up to class mates dressed somewhat like we are, yet different. A sense that you know you belong with that crowd or group of people. If everyone wore the same uniform it would make it harder to figure this out and may subject us to some rather embarrassing moments.
