Pros and Cons of Living Abroad

Life abroad is represented as a fascinating adventure; however, in reality everything can appear differently. From the positive moments, it is possible to allocate an opportunity to learn a foreign language, to learn new things about culture of the country, to try unusual dishes. Nevertheless, there are the negative moments as well such as the language barrier, oversights made because of ignorance of culture and customs of the country, and feature of cuisine that can bring problems with a stomach and even a disease. Of course, an important role is played by circumstances under which the decision to move up was made, and the organization and planning of life and conditions of accommodation before leaving a home country.

Foreign language

Communication with local population is always represented as a difficult thing for people living abroad. If you do not speak language of this country, then even the simplest household affairs can become a barrier considerably worsening quality of life. However, the language barrier can be considered positively as well. If you are interested in a learning a foreign language, then you have everything for this purpose. Literally, everyone to whom you contact is a language partner or a teacher for you.

Culture

As well as language, culture also plays an important role in human life. Rules of social etiquette can differ markedly from what you have got used to since the childhood. For example, if in some countries it is good to show to the host that the dish is pleasant to you, for other cultures this can become the reason of misunderstanding and even an insult if not to know customs of this country.

National cuisine

The food can become a source of the world pleasure or a huge disappointment depending on what is pleasant to you and to what kind of food you have got used to in the home country. For example, in some countries the local cuisine includes a variety of such seafood about which existence you could even not know. If you do not love fish, then it can become the reason of constant hunger. On the other hand, such food will be satisfy fans of seafood. Even if you like cuisine in this country, sometimes there is a wish to feel taste of a native food. This is exactly what I miss sometimes. However, not everywhere can and not always there is an opportunity to buy familiar products for preparation of dishes of the ethnic cuisine.
