While this kind of information can be a way for us to easily learn about about others, it also indicates that others, even strangers, can peep into our lives with as much ease. For example, there have been many instances where some people would create new accounts with profiles of those who do not really exist. They would befriend anyone—acquaintances from real life, celebrities, or strangers—and, without revealing their true identities, gain access to all sorts of information of others. Some would even collect personal information of others for commercial uses. The dwelling possibility that someone could be watching us at all times without our knowing not only is frightening but also can bring about real, legal issues.

Another problem of social networking is that it can weaken the relationship between people. Some would say that life has become more convenient this way, but most of us would acknowledge the fact that our social interactions are becoming less and less tangible each day.
