Proton (Proton Holdings Berhad) is Malaysia’s leading automotive manufacture. It exports to over 26 countries and has over a dozen models. It can’t be achieved without any control process. Control is making something happen they it was planned to happen.
Organizational process is a systematic process which managers regulate organizational activities to make them consistent with the expectations established in plans, and to help them achieve all pre-determined standards of performances. Proton Holdings Berhad use pre-action control to make sure their car quality and always sold well. For example, before launched a new product, Proton conduct markets testing on that new car. And also, Proton always survey the types and models in high ranked and as what customer need. For example, if the car engine have a bit fault in wire ring and make the car not function, Proton would not accept the car to be in their showroom because for them, quality is important.
Moreover, steering control also used by Proton Holdings Berhad. Steering control is a control that take place while work activity is in progress. For example, Proton Holdings Berhad use the steering control after launching new product, such as Proton Iriz, the marketers will monitor competitors such as Perodua, customers and dealers reaction and take corrective actions if required.
Next, control process used by Proton Holdings Berhad is screening control. Screening control is a specific check points that must be successfully passed before and activity before further.
