Quality of Human resource depends on quality of new recruits.

Recruitment is the process of finding and attracting capable applicants for employment.

In small organization managers become involved in recruiting process but in large organziations professional recuiters are used to find and attract capable applicants.

Some challenges that recruiters face:

Recruiters face a big challenge to attract applicants.

Growing competition for scarce human resource forces recruiters to hire qualifiable candidates(people who need more comprehensive post hire training and development).

As globalization increases diverse workforce complicates process of recruitment.

Other constrainsts and challenges include:

Strategic and human resourse plans:

Strategic point out direction of the firm and suggest the type of tasks and job that needs to be undertaken.

HR plan outlines which job should be filled by internal placement and which are to be filled from outside.

Recruiter`s habits:

Recruiter`s past habits can eliminate time consuming decisions at the same time they can repeat past mistake therefore a recuiter must guard its hab'kkkits.

Environment conditions:

They are the external factors that strongly affect recruitment.

These factors include :

Unemployment rate.

Shortage of skilled labour.

Labour Law.

These factors must be considered before process of recruitment.

Job requirements:

Its the most important question that should be in the knowledge of the recuiter.In Some jobs special skills are more important than literacy in the same way some jobs dont require experience at all.

Cost:

Its the duty of the recuiter to minimize cost of recruitment process.Therefore careful planning to reduce employee turnover and evaluation of quality and costs of applicants is necessary to ensure

that recruitment process is effective and efficient.

Incentives:

incentives can be a cause of high and low turnover therefore it is aslo considered to be a constraints

Organization policies:

organization policies can be a constraints for example compensation policies of organization can affect recruitment process in a way of increasing and decreasing number of applicants because recuiters have seldom control over policies of organization.

Internal recuitment channels

Current employees are the best source of recruits for all except entry level positions because they know organizational culture and policies.Promotion and transfers are typically decided by operational managers with little involvement of HR dept.

Job positioning programs:

HR becomes involved when jobs are publicized to employees through Job positioning programs.

Job positioning programs informs employees through notices on bulletin boards
