I, Sharima McLaurin, have attained my bachelor's degree Early Childhood Education. I get a job at a prestigious Child Care Facility. My birth mother and I have the mother-daughter relationship that I am suppose to have with her. My aunt, who is my mother by nurture, will not have a problem with my birthmother and I having a relationship with one another. Neither will the rest of the family.
I have a good relationship with my little brother, even though I missed the first six years of his life. He loves me more than I love myself. My boyfriend and I are still together, even though we went through trials and tribulations, as relationships do, it only made us love one another more and it made our bond stronger than ever. Even though we do have a child together, we have grown in so many ways imaginable. The child set our plans back for a short period of time we were both determined to not let this destroy our plans.
Sharima McLaurin was a very strong minded individual. She would not listen to those who tried to help her instead she wanted to do things her way. She realized however, that what she was doing was only harming her in many ways. In her second semester of college, she realized that people only told her what she should do because they cared about her being successful. After that awakening, she promised that she was going to make her parents proud, her friends proud, her boyfriend proud, and most of all make herself proud. She promised that she was not going to fall into society statistics.
Even though, her and her now current husband had their first child (they have five children now) when she was in her third year of college, she proved herself to be right and became the best that she could possibly be. She opened up her own Childcare Center called "DreamWorks" and it has been doing marvelous and it is expanding into other neighborhoods. She has made everyone proud of her by not letting obstacles get in her way.
