Skateboaring A Crime

My question for you is Is skateboarding a crime? Not in the eyes of youth, but parents are very biased when it comes to freedom of expressions like skateboarding and surfing. What we, as people and a community/society, need to do is stop this type of prejudice thinking. I mean come on, why can't riding a regular bicycle down the road be banned? It can have the same type, if not worse, of an accident.
Why do authority figures think that skateboarding is bad? My thought is that people in society see this as only destruction of public property and nothing more. In the article Skateboarding; Laws and Legislation, basically all it talked about was this issue of destroying property. What about rollerblading? Does roller-blading not destroy property, too? Truly it does, but people now revere, as I red in many articles, rollerblading as more of an exercise type of sport, when skateboarding is actually a lot more physical. Authority has no right to take away our boards when rollerbladers and trick-bikers do the same amount and type of hurt to property.
Where are we supposed to go to skate? Most skaters will go to places that are marked where they're not supposed to go to be rebellious and for the challenge. Why do skate parks and skating in public places close down or are taken away? No one really knows except the authorities and judges, but we need places to go. One example of this type of action happening is in Greencastle, IN where skateboarding, roller-blading and trick-biking are banned completely. No one can skate anywhere without getting caught and their boards taken away or just roller-blading down the street and having a cop tell you to give hir your blades.
Why do businesses and adults think that a congregation of kids is a bad sign? I have no idea. Lately, I went through Danville and about five kids were skating on the steps of a closed bank. As I was driving by I saw a woman come out of the building,
