Women are often sexually assaulted, or considered as mere servants to men. This is due to deep-rooted cultural and religious values within the society, manifesting in the social norms.

The lives of women and LGBT individuals are in dire situation. We must care more. We can care more by being more critical and reading up about issues of women and LGBT individuals. These articles can be found all over the internet, whether that be on reddit, facebook, or even Twitter. Increasing our literature consumption will allow us to understand more about the situation of these minorities, therefore inclining us to help them more and care more about their situation. This is especially important for people in developing countries, where social issues take a back seat and people avoid talking or taking care of the situation. This is problematic, considering the fact that these nations are exactly the place where the most violations happen. Therefore, we should care more.
