Team communication I believe is the first thing you need to have an effective team. Communication can make or break a team. If you cannot communicate well together then your team will not succeed. Building effective teams is complex, takes a lot of thought and work, and requires long-term commitment. I think this is a great point to think about.
The reason we have teams is so we can accomplish more than we can individually. It is important to build a good relationship with your other team members. Do not blame others for mistakes; members of your group will lose respect for you if you are always blaming others. If you make a mistake, or are not able to make a deadline say something to your team members communicate with them, you will earn more respect this way. Always support your team member’s ideas. Let them know how you feel about it, if you like It then make sure to tell them, if you don’t like it tell them what you don’t like about it and what you think should be changed. Let them know what you are thinking. Stay involved with your team, share your ideas and allow others to comment on them, be able to take criticism. Not only is Team Communication good, but also communication is important in everyday life. A marriage, friendship, or success at a work place would not be possible without communication. I have heard many stories and even know people whose marriages have failed because of lack of communication. Not communicating well and holding in your feelings is also bad for your health. Let it out!
Even nature has to use some sort of communication. Like for instance animals make a lot of sounds when communicating. Frogs for example, a group of male frogs use a vocal signal to attract females to breeding sites; then reproductive females chose and locate a male frog, using their vocal signals. Most animals use this form of communication. In some ways we are a lot like animals or animals are a lot like us. When we communicate we are more prosperous.
I find being organized and staying on top of your work is a big help. Making sure you know what is going on in the class, and willing to do your part. Don’t be lazy. Laziness does not get you anywhere. If you are lazy it will show in your work. If you have questions or don’t understand something do not be afraid to talk to your team members.
