What Happens when someone is angry? The law of nature is such that one who generates anger is its first victim (Goenka). Does this law apply to all situations or possibly just one side of anger? Anger can be proactive and destructive. Goenka states, that anger occurs when something undesirable happens to a person. However many forms of anger have helped in the succession of our country and its inhabitants. If not for a fit of rage African Americans might not have the rights they do today. In contrast the holes and blemishes that our world has created, leaving scars of the down side of anger across its face. People try to hide the holocaust but no amount of concealer can ever hide that big of a cut. There is a jekyl and hyde in the form of anger and the argument will go on for ages over which side is predominant. Anger is the contrast of good and evil.

African Americans fought for many things but the main goal was freedom. It was accomplished in both physical and verbal ways. No matter the method there was always anger behind it. Booker T. Washington pushed for an education for young African American children, so they could be counted as equals, and give the second generation a chance of equality. He fought with such a fierce anger but was able to control himself and restrict it to verbal harassment. For every activist there was a fighter in their shadows. It seems to be the less noble thing to do but produced results when mixed with words. The combination of brawn and wit during the civil rights movement produced a powerful enough hit to take slavery and oppression off its feet. Anger fueled the words that the government heard and anger was behind every blow to a officer and every house burning. True, it was destructive at times but did not go unnoticed. Taking drastic measures and risks letting the anger inside of them overcome their bodies and tongues lead to freedom.

Anger can be used in destructive ways. Hitler lead millions to believe that a certain race jeopardized their safety. Solution being to prosecute and use genocide. The type of anger that this man held was not fueled by good intentions or for the pursuit of happiness for himself or his family. It was evil and hatred that lead this man to brain wash, so many people to hate an individual in their conformed society. Anger was misused in this scenario and the horrible effects showed through. Hitler chose to use the powerful overbearing effects to take over with fear and power. His plan worked because anger in its self used improperly can be one of
