"I'll race you to the corner! " exclaimed Max to his life time friend Zelda. Zelda finally gained breath from her last race with nine years old Max to answer excitedly to Max by saying "yes!" Max and Zelda have been neighbors since birth. They were born on the same day two hours apart. Although Zelda never let Max forget that she was older then him by two hours, they always seemed to get it past them and always got together. "On your mark" said Max "get set" screamed Zelda at the top of her lungs "GO" they both said in a wild cacophony of sounds, and the race began. It was a neck to neck race all the way to the end or the street. It seemed like the race went forever if you were in the shoes of Max and Zelda. But then all of the sudden the two bikes went in a vulgar screech . Both of them looked dead into what appeared to be nothing, but I could see, but for a fact neither if them wish they have seen what they have seen on that day. For that was the sight that had changed there life's for good.
The sight was dark, the sight of the woods almost drew the life right out of you. By the looks on little two year old max, that what you would have thought that was going on at this moment. Without a comment from either of them Zelda started walking. Max finally snapped out of the trance and took a look at Zelda which at the moment was half way down the hill with her pink bike with sky blue frills on the handle bars. She only looked back and stared cold into Max's eyes. Max has never got this stare from Zelda so he got the clue that something was wrong with Zelda so with his spine tingling in fear he walked down the hill.
As he walked down the steep cold dreary hill he said with fear in his voice " Zelda this is not funny, my mom says no one should ever go in this woods" with no response from the hypnotized Zelda he continued with the same feared voice that he had just spoke with "My mom says bad things happened down her long ago and they are still down here" Max, as a child, didn't get what that meant but he knew the word "stay
