Sexual Discrimination in Sports Today

Treat others how you want to be treated. That is the golden rule. Not letting someone play sports is not how anyone wants to be treated. That is not fair not enough people recognize the need to fix sexual discrimination in sports today. Tile IX is a law that has affect women in many ways. It has allowed women to be able to enjoy and participate in sports. It is petty important for woman to play sports. Sports keep women active, in shape, and healthy.
Title IX has affected women in sports in many ways. Title IX has let females play sports since 1972. According to an article, Title IX -What You Need To Know, "Title IX is the portion of the Educational Amendments of 1972 that prohibits sexual discrimination in educational institutions that receive any federal funds"("Title XI...What...") In the same article, Title IX states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance" "("Title XI...What..."). Title XI is a law that was passed in 1972. it was made to eliminate sexual discrimination in high schools, colleges, and other sport activates that receive funds. Title IX- What You Need to Know claims ,"Many people believe that Title IX is difficult to understand and poorly implemented, especially in the world of athletics" ("Title XI...What...").
