CHAPTER 1
PROJECT SCOPE
The scope of the project is to develop an Amplifier that is capable of providing a smooth sound wave to component with a bass, treble and volume. The project would like to showcase the capability of the amplifier in converting the amount of voltage to fit the needed power of certain device. The project is limited to supplying devices requiring low voltage supply for the reason that components that need high input source will cause malfunction to the apparatus. The focus of the study is to make an amplifier that is compose of BJT circuit and have
This chapter focus on the scope of the entire project. It includes the statement of the problem, client recognition and needs, project goals and objectives, potential impacts in the society whether local, national or global and lastly initial project constraints of the project.
- Problem Statement
The researchers aim to create an amplifier unit electronic device that increases the voltage, current, or power of signal and it sought the following questions:
- What is the schematic diagram necessary for the project given that it would generate an output and input signal?
- What are the components to be selected in making the amplifier unit?
- What should be the most economical design and layout of the prototype without compromising its function and safety?
- Client identification and recognition of needs
The project will help the student to analyze and think critically in designing or modifying the circuit for the project. It will enhance the student’s capabilities in handling the basics tools in engineering. This project will also help the students to be familiarized with the principle of the power conversion.
Also, this project will help the professionals especially those who are in the academe because they can set it as best example of circuitry that would enable their students to understand the theory better. Moreover, Professors were get use of it especially when they are dealing on a DC voltages and also when they are dealing on the input DC voltage higher than 9V.
1.3 Project Goals and Objectives
General Objective
The main objective of the group is to create a prototype of an Amplifier that increases the voltage, current, or power of a signal.
Specific Objectives
In order to achieve this general objective, the following specific objectives were set:
- To provide a highly effective and efficient Amplifier device;
- To develop an alternative Amplifier that used communications and broadcasting ;
- To develop an amplifier that regulates the weak signal required by the component for safety and sustainability.
- To apply our knowledge in Electronics and Circuits especially in reading schematics and use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for the project like Multisim and PCB Wizard for designing the desired circuit for the project.
- To create a more economical version of power Amplifier compared to the store-bought ones.
- To promote such device that amplifies the signal within specific range to suit the required and needed power.
- Apply the knowledge of electronics specifically Kirchhoff’s Law in designing the circuit
- Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze, and interpret the data.
1.4 Contemporary issues relevant to project
Presently many people used machineries and appliances in their household but the others did not know about amplifiers so now take a look. There are types of signal processing unit which used in households and bench testing amplifier they are the same function but different in output signal is an embedded circuit; it amplifies weak input signals. With the help of a BJT circuit and power amplifier it gives smooth wave sounds and loud sounds. Its function is to stabilize smooth signals and create a bass, treble and bass to modify input signal. The output from the regulated power supply must be needed to operate the amplifier devices because it gives exact amount.
1.5 Potential impact of project on society
Amplifier has a greatest impact and highly commendable for the broadcasting. It is use to boost electric current, if you wear a hearing aid, you'll know it uses a microphone to pick up sounds from the world around you and convert them into a fluctuating electric current (a signal) that constantly changes in strength. Moreover, in larger perspective, the applications for audio amplifiers include home audio systems, concert and theatrical sound reinforcement and public address systems.
1.6 Initial Project Constraints
Our study would not going to discuss about operational amplifier
