In the following essay I will inform you about the advantages and disadvantages about gaming.

As Scientist research, they have come up with the goods to tell us gaming isn't that bad after all. In fact gaming may improve your intelligence. Statistics show that seventy five percent of children who play video games have a better chance of getting good GCSE grades. Video games also might improve or develop your intuition. You might ask how? Basically children play platform games which would lead to problem solving which therefore means that the gamer/player will need to improve on their intelligence and the intuition to work the problem out.

On the other hand Scientists have also proved that video games have negative side. Scientists also believe that waves are produced by games which may cause brain tumours. In addition Scientists also consider that gaming may ruin eyesight as millions of colours are produced. Many children start to get addicted and become 'game-o-holics' so some lose their sense of worth. They become withdrawn and do not pay attention to the real world.

Nevertheless the New York Police Department (NYPD) shared a view. The police department state the playing video games would release aggression and also release anger. If more people release anger on games it may lead to less crime committed on the streets of urban areas. Less crime would mean less money needed by the government to fund the police and other emergency services. So it not only improves intelligence, it also saves money.

Conversely different people have different personalities. In other words some people may lead up to anger. Anger on the streets mainly causes vandalism and fights. As more people lead up to anger It also leads up to aggression. Some games may lead to aggression to a certain subject (e.g. Religion) this may lead up to 'race-hate.'
