What are some benchmarks that can be used in determining program effectiveness in the case of a high school? Please be specific.

As pointed out by Ives and Hancox, Performance measurements system is a great tool in tracking how well an entity has performed in relation to particular benchmarks. In a case of a high school, the benchmarks or the baseline that can be used to determine its program effectiveness are the following:

" Number one on my list is the Graduation rate. It takes a collective effort of the school management, faculty and parents for a high school student to be successful. A strong program that encourages the active participation of parents in the education of their child is also a strong indication of the school's priorities. Addressing an issue before it even becomes a bigger problem should be a priority to schools especially high school. A low graduation rate is an indication not just of the incompetency of the teachers and school management but also the magnitude of parents involvement in the education of their child.

" The second most important way of comparing how well a high school do with other school is through standardize test like SAT. SAT Scores of the students is one of the strong and direct indication of the effectiveness of the teaching methods employed by the educators. Are the students encouraged and motivated to do their best.

" Happiness and Satisfaction Rate of students. School should not just be focused on the academic aspect of the high school students. Mental well-being is equally important. Does the school foster camaraderie and friendship. School's instance on bullying. Does the school have zero tolerance on bullying? Do they have a buddy system to ensure students have friends.

" Availability of co-curricular and extra curricular activities o-curricular and extra-curricular activities provide opportunities outside
