College Life - Personal Essay

my mom talked to me about the email. She told me it'd be best to talk to you about this in person, but I get awkward when it comes to things like that so I figured that emailing you would be the next best thing. First of all, I'd like to say that I honestly appreciate your concern and care towards me as a student. I understand that the email was the right thing to do in your position and that it was all with good intent. I agree with your email, but I'd also like to explain a few things. Also, please don't take this as me trying to argue against what you said in the email. I admit that I did those things that you stated in the email and I'm not trying to disregard any of that, it'd just make me feel better to share some things with you regarding my actions. I'm sorry in advance if what I say sounds like an excuse because I know there's no excuse for everything I did. Furthermore, I'm very sorry for what I did. Now that that's all said and done, I'm going to share a few things. Yes, I did go off campus the other day which was a bad decision and it will not happen again. I kind of just laughed it off when you asked me why I was late because I didn't know what to say and I got nervous and reacted that way, which I should've just told you the truth right then and there. I want to let you know that going off campus is not something I usually do. I have been off once before this time, but there won't be a third time. Until I'm allowed to of course. Also I know I've babbled on in class before about not doing assignments for other classes. Majority of the time that I say things like that I actually end up getting them done. On occasion when I don't get assignments done it's not because I don't care or I just don't want to do them. I have work three days out of the five school days a week. I pretty much go straight from school to work then home, eat, and take a shower and by then it's usually pretty late. I always try to get as much of my work done whenever I can. On the days that I don't work I usually have appointments (I have 2 different weekly appointments I have to attend to) or my mom needs me to do something such as clean or go to the store for her with my brother because she's very busy with exams and school and trying to find a job at a hospital so she doesn't have much time to do things for herself and our family that need to get done. I rarely ever end up not completing an assignment for school. I'm not that person who sits there doing nothing when there are things that need to get done. I work hard and I always try my best with school work and many other things on top of that. Moving on, lets talk about the pot jokes. I know that this isn't something I should inform you about, but I used to smoke a lot of weed. A lot of things happened (at home not legally) and long story short I stopped smoking. I haven't even been anywhere near it for a while now. A lot of people knew about my smoking and a lot now know that I've stopped. I don't really mention weed unless it happens to get brought up in a conversation in some
