Digital media

The Internet started as a way of transferring text (written files) from one computer to another. Now the network can transfer graphic files (images), audio files (audio sounds) and video files (animation). All these are known as digital data.

Digital data is aggregated information that is digitally stored on a computer. There are two basic ways to save and send this data on the Internet:
A) The American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) is a method of encoding characters based on English characters and is used to save and send text only.

B) Binary Digits, which transform the information into a bundle of two values: Either zero 0 or 1 is arranged in a different way from the other for each piece. Each of these values is called Bit House. For example, the size of information 10010111 is eight bytes.

Bit is the smallest unit of measurement and preservation of information on the computer and then sent in the form of digital data on the network. When sending digital data packets (packets) on a network, binary files need high speed to transmit them. This is known as broadband, while text transfer is not required. With improved Internet speed and data load capacity, the network can accommodate, deliver and transfer larger, higher quality digital data files such as audio and video files, and has replaced the full downloading of files with the latest streaming technology).

In our view, specialists have tried hard to find a clear definition of the new media. From the point of view of some, the traditional media and the contents of the Internet, and from another point of view the means of social communication, while some see the traditional media as a new case, while in a more comprehensive view, In a new style and several platforms, including traditional and modern. The definition of the new media was limited to everything presented exclusively on the Internet, but the development of methods and mechanisms in the traditional media, established a state of integration between the traditional and modern means, any means of social communication, all under the name of the new media. The boundaries of the two sides have become fuzzy and each of them is dependent on the other. Blogs and websites are not free of news published in traditional media.
