Eulogy for Thomas L. Posey

1946-2017

Grandpa Tommy sure was a wild man. He lived life from day-to-day, and always had something new to talk about. If it wasn't his new genius invention to make him rich, it was his assurance that he had millions stashed away for his internet company. When I was young, it was thanks to him that I ever learned about computers. Like a wizard, he would sit there with his cup of coffee and pack of cigarettes working on things. For me, the line "Make me a good cup of coffee," will always remind me of him. He was difficult at times, more often for some than others, but what I'll always remember is how he always worried about others. He would loan out his last few bills if he thought someone needed money.

When he and my mom bought this church, for the following years we worked hard and did everything we could to make it into something. He would be proud to see it like it is now. Grandpa always talked about having a church when I was little, and it continued until he actually went through with it. I'm proud of him despite any of the flaws he had, and may he rest in peace.

Grandma wants to let everyone know that he would be happy that he finally got his friends and family down to his church. I know that this ministry will go on, to do many good things in his name. May the Lord bless our family and watch over us as we continue to do wonderful things in his name Amen.
