Hi there my name is Daryl Monzon, from Education High School of The University of Santo Tomas. You may ask why I am in my school attire. It is because I am here to proudly present Education High School and University of Santo Tomas. I’m here to share to you some steps on how to have a happy life.
My first step is: Be happy with what you already have. I know what I’m missing out, but I focus on the activities that I can do and the things I’m passionate about. Right now I don’t what I really know what I want to do in my life. But I try to do stuff that I find entertaining, like watching YouTube all day long, and sleeping and Math which surprisingly, I am very good at. Right now, I have a perfect score streak in math and I have won the bragging rights to prove it. I am very lucky that I understand math while some doesn’t and that we should be very grateful for whatever we have and that we have that. We have food to eat, water to drink, a comfortable bed to sleep on, and people that will always be on our side.
My second step is: Love the people that loves you. Well even if I’ve accomplished many tasks, made so many friends, I think that I’m most happy when I’m with my family, whenever I’m with them I feel comfortable with my life. Well technically it’s the chip on my shoulder. The burden it’s giving me makes me go more motivated. They’re the reason on why studying right now and why I’m pursuing my dream of graduating. I want to give my parents the love, care and everything they deserve. I am very happy to have such marvelous family. I hope you as well, appreciate your family, love them and care for them, as even the dirtiest beggars has someone to love.
My third step is: Choices doesn’t define who we are, it’s what makes us what we are. Back when I was a child, I’ve always been pressured by the choice of what I should take on college. My father wanted me to be an engineer, because my sister wanted to be an architect and that we should start a company after we’ve graduated college. But I didn’t want that, I knew that if I study something that I didn’t like, then I wouldn’t enjoy working as an engineer. I wouldn’t be happy for the rest of my life. Then one day, I’ve come to realize that whatever I choose, whatever decision I make, I believe that I can change the world, and as I’m doing so, I can be happy and that’s when I’ve realized that choices doesn’t define who we are, it’s what makes us what we are.
