Sensitive Situation Letter
Final Draft
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Brady:
Thank you for choosing Tiny Tots Day Care to provide an excellent playful learning environment for your son Brett. We appreciate the effort that our parents put into making Tiny Tots the best childcare center on the North Coast.
We have had several parent-teacher conferences over the past six months in regards to some issues that have arisen with your son Brett. Issues including, but not limited to an inability to get along well with others in his age group, biting (causing one child to get medical attention, receiving 10 stitches), kicking his teacher, scratching teachers as well as other students, and pulling hair. I realize that you are doing your best, to work with us on curbing Brett's violent behavior, before something physical happens. However, there have been little to no changes in Brett's behavior as a result of our conferences. Brett is a wonderful child, and does very well when separated from other students. Although, Tiny Tots does not have the staffing at this time to accomidate for that type of one-on-one teaching. Therefore, at this time we must terminate our childcare contract, and expel Brett from Tiny Tots Day Care.
The teaching staff and myself have come together and looking into some other avenues that may be of interest to you. These childcare providers take on less students, allowing them the capability to give Brett the one-on-one attention and offer learning environments with less distractions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Finally we would like to provide Brett with a happy "going away" party tomorrow afternoon. Showing him that moving on to something different, is not a punishment, but a happy occasion to allow him the progression that he is lacking here with such a large student body.
