The article “The Real Danger of Donald Trump” is expressing the horrifying moves Donald Trump is generating upon his audience who supports his vulgar campaign. It talks about how his fellow followers “find him delightful and refreshing” (Lawrence Downes). However, the problem with the words that he is using to hide his hatred and racism is no joke. “The audiences that adore him are animated not just by infatuation, but by the age-old catalyst of fear, resentment and hate” (Lawrence Downes). Trump is building an army of racial followers who are starting to believe it is right to blame immigrants. The whole article analyses shameful anarchy that is burgeoning thanks to Trumps toxic messages and contaminated ideas. Nonetheless, after reading this article I would think that Donald Trump assumes he is living in the classical era, who has charismatic traits, and manages rather then leads.
For example, in the era of classical leadership, leaders commanded, controlled, decided, and manipulated in order to get better results. The most effective for this type of leadership were those who can set structure in chaotic situations. As for Donald Trump this is exactly what he is giving to be seen. He is manipulating mainly Americans by talking dirty about immigrants knowing that for years the immigration topic has been one of the main issue’s for the United States. Trump only talks about the negative side of immigrants, but doesn’t see the positive side that they bring to help better the country. With the negativity he is stirring up, there has been racial incidence happening around the U.S. For example as mentioned in the article “The Real Danger of Donald Trump,” a supporter refers to ‘Trump’s mass-deportation plan says: “This isn’t going to be painless. They’ve been inflicting pain on us for 20 years” (Lawrence Downes). Trump is imposing structure in this chaotic situation.
