Logic is the study of the methods and principles used in distinguishing correct and incorrect thinking; for an example, a person ability to make sense of something. Logic will be different for each individual. This is due to each individual's upbringing, beliefs, and experiences. The meaning of perception is a person's view of something; for example, humans use perception to interpret knowledge from one's individual perspective using emotion, and opinion. Perception is crucial for determining an individual's knowledge of the subject at hand. Again, perception will be different for each individual, due to the same reasons provided for logic.
How important is thinking? We spend all our lives thinking and miss thinking of multiple decisions and ideas. Thinking is a very important process of how our thoughts, when transferred verbally or written on paper, can produce a clearer understanding of our views. The nature of logic as it relates to critical thinking, and my perceptual process have been influenced through sources of enculturation. I have found that my perception can easily be clouded and once that takes place, I find it difficult to think clearly or come to a conclusion.
Growing up, I couldn't understand why so few people met in homes and why so many people chose the larger denominational churches. I accepted the fact that SATAN blinded people's eyes to the simple way of self denial choosing the false ways of the world. I thought the standard of the meetings was higher than the big denominations where everything was OK. I thought the religion of worldly churches was so shallow and fake. And I thought the church I was attending at the time was so deep and sincere.
I loved how God's servants spent the night in different homes, didn't ask for money/pass the collection plate, spent time on their knees in prayer, had worship services in homes or rented buildings and visited with the people.
The more I studied the other doctrines of the Bible, the more I learned that the churches of this world were wrongÐ'--on virtually EVERYTHING! One plain scripture after another contradicted each traditional "Christian" idea I had been taught. I was amazedÐ'--actually stunnedÐ'--at how easy it was to find direct, clear, undeniable proof that even the most popular traditions of the big denominations were not based on the BibleÐ'--at all!
Each time I studied a Bible doctrineÐ'--salvation, baptism, who and what God is, the gospel, death and hell, law and sin, grace, being born again, the Christian Sabbath, the true origin of supposed "Christian" holidays, where the modern-day tribes of ancient Israel are found today, the sequence of prophetic events preceding Christ's Return and so much moreÐ'--I gained undeniable proof of what the Bible really taught! I was excited and fascinated. I found that the churches of this world were almost invariably confused on all these and many other plain points of Bible teaching. I came to realize that there had to be a church that correctly believed and practiced all the doctrines of the Bible.
I do believe that this church do existed; however, I have yet to find it. Now, I think with an open mind, do research on things I am unsure of and live life to the fullest. You never know what is around the corner in your life; therefore I live each day as if it was my last. I now use my highest intellectual skills to detect personal biases and self-deceptive reasoning so I can design realistic plans for self-correction. It is a must for me to collect up-to-date, relevant information on all sides of an issue before making any decisions. This situation in my life thought me how to think for myself and to develop my own independent opinions, backed by sound reasoning and support.
