Time management
As a college student, if you don't master your time management skills, you will not achieve your academic goals. Time management is an important part of being a successful college student. Although a hard skill to master, many try and overcome this obstacle in any way that works. Most of the time some type of sacrifice has to be made to achieve your goals..
A disciplined work ethic is essential when you have multiple responsibilities. I first made the decision to attend Five towns college I was one hundred percent sure that I could handle the work load of school and a full time job. But up until a few days ago I wasn't too sure. It's as if I put my head down for a nap and when I woke up I was behind in all of my classes and to add to that I was on the verge of losing my job.
It is difficult to focus on school work when you can't stay awake long enough to complete it. Working and going to school is not an uncommon thing. There are many people who struggle or rather "deal" with the hard task everyday. I thought it was hard enough coping with the regular routine of working, handling miscellaneous task, and finding time to sleep so I could do it all over again the next day. I now have a new found understanding and respect for people who can make the sacrifice to work full time, go to school, and maintain adequate grades. For me when I leave school I go right to work.

Sometimes until 12:00AM. By the time I get home all I want to do is sleep. However, it's something that has to be done so that I can later aspire to a place where I'm no longer dealing with the time sacrifice and possibly be the advice giver to those who will walk this path behind me.
