Value of Relaxation And

The Inability Not To Relax

There is a place that is exceptionally special to me. A place where life is created and ends as time stands still. This is a place where a person can get away from everyday stress and tension; it is relaxing and full of splendid beauty, and peacefully isolated from the rest of the world. Everyone might doubt that such a magical place can exist. A forest is a great place to be to get away from the everyday fatigue and stress. Growing up in Maine with forests all around me gave me many opportunities to spend countless hours in the woods to get away from everyday stress. Many people enjoy fishing, hunting, and camping in the woods to get away from their stressors; I enjoy just being part of the tranquility. I often wish that I could blend in with the foliage of the forest just to get away from everyday stress that occurs from school, work and family. Up till last year I know, I made excuses for not taking a vacation, I can't go something will happen (and I'll be needed), I couldn't afford it, I have other things to do, you know what I'm saying don't you, everyone does it. I now two times a year I visit my exceptionally special place, to get away and relax. I don't understand why more people don't take more time to relax.

We are working; living out your daily existence, running from one thing to the next, our mind is constantly occupied. We don't have time to fully relax, even when we go to bed at night our thoughts are on the next day's events, or what we forgot to do that day, ect... We have become a fast-paced world, and for people who are susceptible to anxiety it's a world where thoughts never stop attacking us. We have become constant thinkers. Time goes by, perhaps a year or six months of mid-level stress, perhaps a few large crisis', and we deal with it all in a typical fashion. We are impulsive in keeping up a fast pace, keeping everything in a straight line, and balancing every portion of our lives. I don't know why we aren't any further in our lives with all the hustling we do, wouldn't you agree.
