Romance stories are not my forte but at least we tried on this project. The story that we went off of was based on the story the princess and the frog, a simple story that can easily get 15 slides. However, we added a twist to the story and made the father of the princess, the king, a spy. A member of an enemy faction has invaded and tied up the king to assume command of the kingdom without rebellion. I approached this story by taking pictures of the poses that people will be in for the story and photoshopping them into backgrounds that fit for the moment in the story. The purpose for creating this story was to show the how even a little bit of rebellion can change everything (and also to get a grade, but I’m not allowed to say that).
The reason for creating this story was to show how a little bit of rebellion is good. In the story, the king is revealed as a spy and the real king is found tied up in a room and the only way that they could’ve known this was to rebel against him. Even the princess in the story rebelled against her father because she was truly in love with the prince that had been imprisoned. Stuff like this can apply to real life where if you believe that your parents are being overprotective when they don’t want to put you in a school with “All them Hispanics” or “All them Africans”, it’s not a bad idea to rebel against them and tell them that they’re wrong and that you have some friends there, and the school is an A school. That probably was not the example that I was looking for and I could’ve probably provided a much better and less racist example, but you get the point. A little bit of rebellion is not always a bad thing.
The reason this story was created is because I wanted to do something different. We didn’t want to be one of those groups that go out into the hallway to take pictures. We wanted to be that group that changed the setting, made the story not in the hallway, but in a garden, or a castle. We wanted to change the mood, the style, the way the story is presented. That’s the reason that this story was created.
If I tried to do this as the first project, I would’ve had absolutely no idea how I would’ve approached the story due to the lack of photoshop on the computers from the last lab that we were in. Now, that the computers that we had in this lab had photoshop, I could’ve made the story a different way. I approached the story by first finding background images off the internet, so images of a garden, castle, throne room, dungeon, execution stand, you know, pictures of that sort. I then took pictures of the people that were going to be posing and I then put them in the pictures. So an empty throne room turned into a hectic argument between a prince and a king. Now, if only I could find some decent pictures of robes, that’d be great.
